Early Elementary SEL For children Ages 5 – 8
Don't let children’s experiences in your program get lost in the shuffle
The early elementary school years are a time of intense learning and growth. The more they take in, the more children ages 5 to 8 are able to understand the world around them. Make the most of this important developmental stage with Hello Insight: Early Elementary SEL. Social and emotional learning, or SEL, is the process of developing the “soft skills” children need to get along as they grow up: to manage themselves as they engage with the world; build and maintain relationships; and treat setbacks and challenges as learning experiences that boost growth.

Outcomes
When children experience a positive child development approach and work alongside a caring adult, they develop short-term outcomes that lay the groundwork for their long-term success.
Thriving
Children who develop SEL are on a journey to understand and cultivate their unique interests and talents in many aspects of life — they thrive. Thriving goes beyond competence, with success defined as an ongoing trajectory towards full potential in life.
